O. J. SIMPSON TO STAND TRIAL
POSTED BY BEVERLEE Wednesday, November 14, 2007
When I read on the Internet this afternoon the headline that the judge would decide whether Simpson should stand trial, I thought, “Uh oh! Is there a possibility that he won’t stand trial?” To calm my fears I quickly ran today’s transits to his chart, and sighed with relief. The stars were clearly stacked against him, and their alignment was reflected in the judge's announcement that Simpson must stand trial.
Let’s recall what I’ve said countless times in this space: Simpson has not one, but two Grand Trines in his natal chart, which have protected him in the past, and may, for all I know, protect him in the future. But today’s transits, at least, were not cutting him any slack. First, let’s look at Simpson’s chart. (I don’t like to call him “O.J.” because it taints my referring to my favorite breakfast beverage with that term! Notice the trine from both Jupiter (expansion; over-indulgence) and the Moon (emotions, women) to his Sun (life’s purpose) and Mercury (thinking, communicating). The configuration speaks for itself. Up until now he’s managed to talk his way out of the tight spots he gets himself into.
Now, here is the synastry grid, showing the relationship between the transiting planets and his natal planets. Simpson’s planets are listed on the lefthand side and today’s transits are listed across the top. Observe the many “hard” aspects: Moon opposite Sun and Mercury, square Neptune. He has many trines from the Sun today but they are offset by the Square to Pluto and the North Node and Midheaven. The most telling challenge, I thought was Mars conjuncting his Sun today and simultaneously squaring Neptune. Jupiter, meanwhile, squares his Moon and opposes Uranusm while Mercury squares Saturn and Pluto. Pluto squares the Moon, opposing Venus and Uranus. Neptune squares Jupiter and opposes Pluto. This is a picture of the planets ganging up on Simpson.
We must wait to see how the stars are aligned when the case finally comes to trial which could be some time--perhaps as long as 9 months. Today I've used only transits to predict that he would indeed stand trial. I shall have to trot out any number of other Astrological techniques in order to predict the outcome! Don't worry: Star Lady is on the case! Stay tuned...and remember, Simpson may lie, but the stars do not!
ASTROLOGICAL CYCLES IN THE NEWS
POSTED BY BEVERLEE Friday, November 09, 2007
I was sorry to learn of today’s indictment of Bernard Kerik, the former Police Chief of New York City who performed so brilliantly on 9/11. In examining his birthchart I discovered, interestingly, that he just turned 52 on September 4th. Do you remember that the age 52 is supposed one of the most important years of our life, according to Astrologer Michele Adler in her book “Predictive Astrology”? Well, it appears this theory has definitely been proven in Bernard Kerik’s case. Furthermore, the Sun today falls exactly on his natal Saturn (the great leveler!) and the Moon will also cross over this fateful point today.
Reading the news online loses something as compared to watching it on television. I had been reading about Paul McCartney’s estranged wife Heather Mills multiple rants, and thought little about her rancor until I accidentally happened to see her whining on TV. Yes, WHINING! I was actually embarrassed for her! So I had to check what was going on with her chart. It’s that ole debbil Saturn at work again, of course. He’s sitting right on her natal Jupiter, making her feel very sorry for herself, especially, I daresay, since he is the ruler of her Capricorn Sun. Mills hasn’t quite reached her Uranus opposition yet, but Uranus, the “Great Awakener” is exactly squaring (challenging) her natal Moon in Gemini. Moon in Gemini, by the way, says what it thinks the public wants to hear.
Moving on to O.J. Simpson’s current dilemma: At age 60, Simpson is experiencing the after-effects of his second Saturn Return. Will he get his just desserts this time? One can only hope!
FIRESTORM 2007 DIARY OF A DISASTER

Having experienced the southern California firestorm of 2007 at close hand, I have written an account of how it affected our family. You may read about it here. You may also read an article I wrote for the San Diego Union back in September 1984 about our evacuation during that brush fire to learn how the two experiences differed.
